Lunar Rendezbrew XX is an AHA and BJCP sanctioned competition. We will be using the BJCP Categories for all beers, meads, and ciders. We also will have additional categories wines and liqueurs. First, second, and third place winners for each category will receive Lunar Rendezbrew medals. Depending on the quantity of entries. The Bay Area Mashtronauts reserve the right to split or collapse categories as warranted by the number of entries. All winners will be judged at Best of Show. Best of Show winners will receive some very nice bling!
Please Note - NEW RULE: Competitors can enter 2 entries per category. There is limit. If an individual wants to enter beer as an individual and as a team then the individual can enter 2 beers and the team can enter 2 beers per category. Category is defined in the BJCP terms such as Category 10 is American Ales. It doesn't matter which sub-categories (American Pale, American Amber, or American Brown) as long as you only enter 2.
Wine and Liqueur categories may be combined after turn in based on the number of entries.
To Submit a Beer, Mead or Cider Entry
1. Prepare three bottles for each entry.
2. Complete the online registration for each entry and print your bottle ID forms. Please make note of the Primary Brewer's last name. This will be needed during payment.
- The Entry Website will be opened for registration by 6/11/2013 and will close by 7/3/2013
3. Print out the bottle ID form, cut them out and rubber band a bottle ID form to each of the bottles. Do not tape please!
4. Pay for your entries on the Lunar Rendezbrew Shopping page
- All beer, mead, and cider entries are $8 per entry online or $9 per entry if paying by check.* (Entry fee covers the cost of your score sheet.)
- Paper entries are not allowed. All beers must be registered online.
- Pay online using PayPal on our secure Shopping page or rubber band a check for all of the entries to one of the bottles.
- Make checks payable to: Bay Area Mashtronauts
- Be sure to get your pre-sale tickets and Lunar Rendezbrew gear while you are there!
5. Get your entries to one of the drop off locations.
Entries will be due Friday, July 5th, 2013, no later than 5 PM, at B&S Brewers Guild and Wednesday July 3rd, 2013, no later than 5 PM at Defalcos. Due to Brew-It-Yourself being closed July 1-4th the drop-off there will be 11am Friday July 5th.

To Submit a Wine or Liqueur Entry
1. Submit one bottle for each entry.
- Wine: One 375 ml bottle minimum, or 750 ml is preferred!
- Liqueur: One 12 oz or 375 ml bottle.
2. Complete a registration from for each entry and print your bottle ID forms.
3. Print out the bottle ID form, cut them out and rubber band a bottle ID form to each of the bottles. Do not tape please!
4. Pay for your entries on the Lunar Rendezbrew Shopping page
- All alternative beverage entries are $8 per entry and $9 per entry if paying by check*. (Entry fee covers the cost of your score sheet.)
- Pay online using PayPal on our secure Shopping page or rubber band a check for all of the entries to one of the bottles.
